Will dated 11 Sep 1675, proved 19 Oct 1675 (Borthwick Institute). Further evidence would be desirable for the identity of Ellenís husband, but William Gibson seems the best candidate. The next most likely would be a Thomas Gibson but, although multiple Thomas Gibson marriages are recorded at Rothwell in the relevant period, none of the brides were named Ellen, and the Thomas son of Thomas Gibson who is the best fit chronologically (baptised 1633) appears to have died young (buried 1636). William Gibson was probably the one of that name baptised at Rothwell on 11 May 1606, son of John Gibson.
Geoffrey Hamish Mercerís notes for a history of Oulton, 230, state that in 1672[/73], Elizabeth Gibson, widow, of Oulton, sold property to her father Richard Lund of Oulton (https://newwoodlesford.xyz/churches-and-chapels/reverend-mercer).
Rothwell parish registers (online at www.ancestry.com). She was probably the Elizabeth Gibson, widow, who married Tempest Taylor of Wakefield at Rothwell on 3 Dec 1673. Elizabeth, wife of Tempest Taylor, was buried at Wakefield on 6 Nov 1683.
The 1675 will of Ellen Gibson mentions her grandchildren Ann, Ellen, Elizabeth and Dorothy Gibson.
