[1] Werrington bishop’s transcripts; Kresen Kernow, AP/M/1006. There were three May burials listed for 1670. A Margaret May buried on 26 Apr 1670 may be the wife of William. William’s will was dated 4 Aug 1670 and the inventory after his death was dated 22 Aug 1670 so he would be the William May buried on 24 Aug 1670. There was also a William May buried on 20 Mar 1670/71. This was probably a different William from the one (son of William) baptised a few days earlier on 14 Mar 1670/71 as the burial on 10 Aug 1671 is explicitly stated to be that of “William the sonne of William May”.
