BOUND OF ST NEOT

The protestation returns of 1641/42 show a Ulisses Bound at Lewannick, which may be relevant to the origin of Ulisha or Elisha Bound who heads the account below.

[2] St Neot parish registers. There are other Othrams recorded in the St Neot parish registers who were probably connected with Elizabeth, for example Walter Othram married in 1642. Elizabeth may be the Elizabeth, daughter of John Autrom, who was baptised on 10 Feb 1614/15 at St Neot.

[5] Walter appears in many administration records where his occupation is given (for example Kresen Kernow, AP/O/301a, AP/S/2143).

[23] The will of Martha Harris of Warleggan, spinster, written and proved in 1735, mentions, among others, her sister Honour Bound; her nephew John Bound and his daughter Elizabeth; Elizabeth Willcock the daughter of her sister Honour; and Annis Udy the daughter of her sister Honour (Kresen Kernow, AP/H/4624). The St Neot parish registers record the burial of an Elizabeth, daughter of Walter Bound, on 29 Nov 1700. This could be another daughter of Walter and Honor, but the chronology would be tight with their marriage in Apr 1700 and another daughter baptised in Feb 1700/01. The Elizabeth buried in Nov 1700 could have been a daughter of the Walter Bound who was the father of the Walter married to Honor Harris.

[25] Golant parish registers. The register gives the date of burial as 31 Nov 1766, which is obviously wrong.
