SANDERSON OF UPPERBY

 

A John Sanderson of Newlands in Bolton and Ann Nixon were married on 16 January 1689/90 at Great Orton, and a John Sanderson and Ann Whitehead were married on 15 February 1696/97 at Westward, but it is not known whether either of these marriages relates to the couple who head the account below.

 

A witness to the 1739/40 will of John Sanderson of Upperby was Joseph Craghill, and Joseph Cragghill and Ann Sanderson were married on 23 September 1722 at St Cuthbert, Carlisle.

JOHN SANDERSON of Upperby, Cumberland, yeoman, died ca 1740.[1] He married ANN who died in 1741.[2]

ii             ELIZABETH SANDERSON; m 4 Aug 1734, St Cuthbert, Carlisle, THOMAS HARRINGTON.[4]
