PRICE OF LLANFAREDD

There were at least two John Prices having children baptised at Llanfaredd in the 1770s and 1780s and so far, the earlier ancestry of the family detailed below is unclear. The will of Daniel Donne of Llanfaredd, written in 1747, mentions his daughter Mary Price and his son-in-law John Price. The marriage of John Price of Glascwm and Mary Donne took place at Llanfaredd in 1740. This is too early to be the parents of the Margaret Price baptised in 1778 but could be an earlier connection. However, more evidence would be needed on this point.
