LUND OF OULTON

 

Geoffrey Hamish Mercer’s notes for a history of Oulton, 230, state that in 1672[/73], Elizabeth Gibson, widow, of Oulton, sold property to her father Richard Lund of Oulton.

 

This Lund family is often found with the surname spelt Lunn.

LUND

 

RICHARD LUND of Oulton, Yorkshire, was buried on 20 September 1679 at Rothwell.[1] He married first, on 12 June 1639 at Rothwell, DOROTHY CROWDER.[2] She was buried on 10 October 1670 at Rothwell.[3] Richard married second, on 7 December 1671 at Rothwell, ELLEN GOODALL.[4] She was buried on 15 April 1682 at Rothwell.[5]

i               RICHARD LUND of Oulton, bap 20 Aug 1640, Rothwell,[6] bur 12 Apr 1660, Rothwell;[7] m 13 Jul 1659, Whitkirk, ANN BROOKE.[8]

iii            ELIZABETH LUND, bap 29 Jan 1642/43, Rothwell;[10] m 22 Jun 1659, Rothwell, THOMAS GIBSON[11] (see here).
