Notes
Abram gives the father of Edmund Haworth
(number 10) as Thomas Haworth, but Glenn gives Edmund’s father as Giles
Haworth. William Haworth argues that Edmund was the one of that name baptised
on 13 Nov 1692 at Blackburn, son of John Haworth.
Numbers 10 and 11 may be the Edmund
Haworth of Darwen, husbandman, and Anne Brown of Colne, spinster, who were
married at Padiham on 4 Apr 1722. The 1720 will of
Thomas Pickering of Lower Darwen mentions his daughter Katherine, wife of
Edmund Haworth.
