3 JOHN ROSEVEAR of Lanivet was baptised on 5 February 1608/09 at Lanivet[8] and died ca 1645.[9] He married on 13 September 1634 at Lanivet, LORE HAWKEN,[10] daughter of William and Honor Hawken. Lore was baptised on 25 April 1608 at Lanivet.[11]

She was baptised on 2 May 1672 at Kilkhampton and buried on 13 June 1750 at Lanivet.

[2] The 1624 administration record for John Rosevear mentions Sibell Roseveare, daughter of John, as well as Nicholas Roseveare of Lanivet, yeoman (Kresen Kernow, AP/R/228). The 1666 will of Nicholas Rosevear mentions his sister Sibella Cocke, wife of Richard Cocke of Tywardreath (Kresen Kernow, AP/R/929).

[7] Lanivet bishop’s transcripts. The 1666 will of Nicholas Rosevear mentions grandchildren Henry Row and Barbara Row. Henry, son of John and Dorothy Roue, was baptised at Lanivet on 1 Jan 1635/36. Barbara, daughter of John Rowe, married Nicholas Harvey at Lanivet on 22 Jan 1682/83.

[11] Lanivet bishop’s transcripts. A Loare Roseveare was buried at Bodmin on 6 Nov 1653. William Hawken and Honor Hawken of Lanivet are mentioned in the 1639 probate record of John Cowle of Bodmin (Kresen Kernow, AP/C/974).
[12] The 1666 will of Nicholas Rosevear mentions a grandchild John Rosevear but does not specify the intervening generation (Kresen Kernow, AP/R/929). John is placed here as a son of Nicholas’s son John as Nicholas is not known to have had any other sons.
