POPE OF TALLAND

 

There were multiple Henry Popes in the Talland area in the first half of the seventeenth century. Relevant probate records include:

POPE

 

HENRY POPE of Talland, Cornwall, died in 1635.[9] He married ANNIS CODE.[10]

[10] The 1633 will of Henry Pope of Talland mentions his wife Annis, wife’s brother William Code, his brother Richard Code and Alice their sister (Kresen Kernow, AP/P/681). It has not yet been directly documented that Annis was the mother of Henry’s children.
