Batley parish registers (online at www.ancestry.com). Mary was of Morley at the time of her marriage in 1734. There was also a Sarah Brogden of Morley who married Jonas Pollard at Batley in 1728. Sarah may have been the Sarah, daughter of John Brogden of Middleton, who was baptised at Rothwell in 1707.
The baptism entries for Mary (Gilpin) Stephenson’s children in the Batley parish registers confirm that Mary was a daughter of George Gilpin.
