FIRTH OF WYKE
It
is possible that the Edward Firth who married Elizabeth Hargreaves at Birstall
in 1748 was the same person as Edward, illegitimate son of Elizabeth Gomersall of Cleckheaton and Matthew Firth, who was
baptised at Birstall in 1709. However, that has not been confirmed.
