George Grose (bur 1692)

 

Will

 

In the name of God Amen, the Nyne and Twentyeth day of June In the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred Eighty Seaven; I George Grose of the parish of Luxulyan in the County of Cornwall yeoman; being sound in Body and perfect in Remembrance, (thanks be given to god for the same) Doe make and Ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, first I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God who made me, hopeing that through the Meritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer I shall receive full pardon and free Remission of all my sins; and my body unto Christian Buriall to be buried in such decent Manner as my Executrix hereafter Named shall seeme meete & Convenient.

 

Item I give and bequeath unto the poore of the parish of Luxulyan the sume of ten shillings and to the poore of the pish of Lanivett the sum of five shillings to be disposed as my Executrix shall think most fitt.

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Nicholas Grose one shilling.

 

Item I give and bequeath unto Jane my daughter the wife of John Wellington one shilling.

 

Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Richard the son of Nicholas Grose the sume of Ten shillings to be paid him within one yeare after my death.

 

Item I give and bequeath unto Walter Grose my Grandson the son of the sd Nicholas the sume of Ten shillings to be paid him in one yeare after my death.

 

Item I give unto Nicholas Grose my Grandson son of the sd Nicholas the sume of ten shillings to be paid him in one yeare after my decease.

 

Item I give unto Ann Grose my Grandaughter the daughter of the sd Nicholas the sum of Ten shillings to be paid in one yeare after my death.

 

Item I give unto William Udy my Grandson one shillinge.

 

Item I give unto John Udye my Grandson one shilling.

 

Item I give unto Nicholas Udy my Grandson one shilling.

 

Item I give unto Ann Udy my Grandaughter one shilling.

 

Item all the rest of my Goods Chattells Rents and Creditts not herein before given and bequeathed; I doe give and bequeath unto Ann my wife whome I doe make ordaine & appoint to be my whole & sole Executrix of this my Will and Testament, and doe frustrate & make voide all Wills by me formerly made & declare & pronounce this to be my Last Will & Testament she my Executrix paying my debts & Legacies & seing this my Will performed. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale The day and yeare first above Written.
