LATERAL CONNECTIONS WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Some connections with Queen Elizabeth II may be found by investigating lateral links through various marriages. In both of the examples given here, all of the individuals involved were born after 1700.

The first connection goes through the Hamlyn, Ashton and Liddell families.

The second connection goes through the Sercombes and the family of the WH Smith retailers (a link noted by Daniel Morgan) and then through the earls of Airlie. The chart also includes a connection to Lord Palmerston, the prime minister.
